A young Nigerian, Babatunde Omotoye, has taken to LinkedIn to talk about his acquisition of Canadian citizenship. In a recent post, he said his journey in the foreign country that has now become home commenced six years ago.
He added that in spite of everything that he has been through, he is happy he took the step. To get to his present level, Babatunde had to do menial jobs at a factory so he could pay school fees.
He said relocating to another country was not an easy task as it could take affect one’s emotional and psychological wellbeing and added that while everyone can not come to Canada, whoever tries to relocate would be so grateful for the decision.
Part of his post read: “Finally, in 2015, I embarked on the bravest journey of my life. This is not to encourage anyone to follow this same pathway, yours might be a different one from mine, but whatever it is, keep grinding and I know everything will work out for you.”
