Two self-confessed Boko Haram terrorists – Jamilu Adamu and Garba Adamu – as well as a bandit – Yusuf Wada – have been arrested by the troops of the Nigerian Army in Taraba and Kaduna states.
The military said that Jamilu and Garba were nabbed by the 93 Battalion, 13 Brigade attached to Operation Lafiya Dole on Saturday in Gishiri village, Ibbi Local Government Area of Taraba State.
According to the army, the suspects, who were arrested on Saturday, confessed to have joined the terrorists since 2015 and were boat operators for the sect.
It was gathered that the troops of 1 Division, also on Saturday, apprehended Wada in Gobarawa Matari village in the Soba Local Government Area, after killing two other bandits who engaged the troops in a shootout.
The two Boko Haram terrorists reportedly confessed that they fled from the terrorists’ base in Sambisa Forest, after renouncing the sect’s ideology.
