Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has fined teams that defaulted in their payment obligations.
As a penalty, the union decided to ban Cluj, Osijek, Aris, Astana, Olimpija Ljubljana, and Rijeka teams from European cups if the situation occurs in future seasons.

UEFA fined teams over their overdue debts in the 2022-2023 season, Cluj were fined 250,000 euros, Osijek and Konyaspor were fined 150,000 euros, Olimpija Ljubljana were 100,000 euros, Aris and Valmiera were fined 50,000 euros, Astana 30,000 euros, Borac Banja Luka, while Kyzyl-Zhar and Floriana were fined 10 thousand euros each.
