It’s true, tears could roll,
It’s true, fears could knoll.
It’s true, we’ve been repressed,
It’s true, we’ve been neglected.
Though, lost the life we lived,
Seems torn from my past.
Though, lost the field we toiled,
Seems my history won’t last.
The presence and the history,
Meet at the valley of decision.
The Crown and the colony,
We all entomb our long friction.
Unity to servable democracy
Justice, peace and social liberty.
That all people are equal rightly
The truth and reconciliation legacy.
I am healed, my heart is mended,
I am First Nations, Inuit and Métis.
In lasting and enduring declaration,
In mutual respect and working treaties.
We can weep together,
We can merry together.
We all can coexist and grow together,
We are all human fated to live together.
Its true, Rovers we’re all,
In truth and reconciliation.
The mandate deems for the land,
The sacred hearts of the people.
