Tragedy hit central Beirut recently when a massive explosion which killed dozens and injured thousands occurred in the Lebanese capital.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has responded to the news of the explosion in Beirut and said that Canadians are thinking about the injured victims and their families, as well as people that are trying to locate their loved ones.

Trudeau’s quote was posted on the official Twitter handle of Canada’s Prime Minister.

Meanwhile, an eyewitness told CNN that Beirut’s horrific scene is “like an apocalypse.”

CNN reports that the explosion was so powerful to the extent that it was felt on the island of Cyprus which is located hundreds of miles away.
