Prime Minister has checked in at the final stop from his overseas trip.
Trudeau and the entire Canadian delegation that travelled to the United Kingdom and Belgium checked in at a three-star hotel close the Ottawa airport recently to commence a 14-day quarantine.
A rule which states that those entering the country by air without an exemption have to stay at a government-approved hotel for up to three nights before going home to complete the rest of their quarantine was introduced earlier in the year.
Trudeau’s office has revealed that the Prime Minister, and his official delegation, will abide by the same COVID-19 travel rules being required of Canadians.
Those in the delegation will not leave the hotel room until the COVID-19 test that was administered when they arrived come out negative.
Trudeau and those who embraked on the trip were tested nearly ten times for COVID-19 many days before the flight left for Europe recently.
An expert advisory panel recently advised the Liberal government to phase out the policy of compelling people to stay in quarantine hotels, due to the fact that the rule does not follow science and has too many shortcomings to be consistently followed.
