Toronto Police are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying the next of kin of a man who passed away over two months ago.
The deceased, 60-year-old Sylbert Blackwood, also known as Anthony Black, was found dead on September 13 at a residence near Driftwood Avenue and Grandravine Drive.
Authorities have been unable to reach any of Blackwood’s family members to notify them of his death.
Investigators believe that some of Blackwood’s relatives might still reside in Jamaica, his country of origin, where he lived before immigrating to Canada in the late 1980s.
Anyone with information that could help locate his family is urged to contact police at 416-808-3100. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477) or online at 222tips.com.
