A Nigerian Olympic official has been admitted to the hospital after testing positive for Coronavirus on arrival in Japan.
A local Television Station, TV Asahi revealed that he tested positive recently at the airport with mild coronavirus symptoms and pre-existing conditions.
The TV station also revealed that the official, who is in his 60s, is the first foreign official to be hospitalised on arrival in Tokyo owing to coronavirus.
Team Nigeria will participate in nine sports at the Olympics, which commences on July 23.

However, in its update, Tokyo 2020 confirmed that there had been four additional positive cases among those that touched down in the Olympic and Paralympic host country recently.
The three others are contractors working on the Games, which according to schedule will begin on July 23.
