Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu, has congratulated the South African President, His Excellency, President Cyril Ramaphosa on his re-election into office.
Ramaphose was congratulated by Tinubu in a recent congratulatory message issued by his Special Adviser on Media & Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.
The statement read: “President Bola Tinubu extends his warm congratulations to His Excellency, President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa, on his re-election.
“The President also congratulates the people of South Africa on the peaceful and successful conduct of the general election.”
“While wishing President Ramaphosa a successful term in office, President Tinubu calls for the strengthening of bilateral ties between Nigeria and South Africa as strategic partners in Africa for the overall advancement of the continent.”
Recall that, South Africa’s parliament re-elected Ramaphosa as the country’s president after a coalition deal between the governing African National Congress and opposition parties.
While giving his victory speech, Ramaphosa praised the new coalition and said voters expected the leaders to “act and to work together for the good of everyone in our country.”
