The 14th edition of the Headies Awards recently took place at Eko Hotel and Suites but limited attendees were present due to COVID-19 restrictions.
The red carpet started at 5pm and the major event started at 8 pm.
Fireboy DML won the highest number of awards by clinching five awards to match the records of Wande Coal and Psquare for most wins in one night.
He won the BEST R&B ALBUM with LAUGHTER, TEARS, AND GOOSEBUMPS. Also, he won the ‘Best POP Album’ with his second album titled ‘APOLLO.’
Furthermore, Fireboy won the BEST R&B SINGLE award with his song titled Tatoo, and later came on stage to pick the HEADIES REVELATION awards.
Lastly, the singer clinched Album of The Year award.
The event was hosted by comedian Bovi and TV personality, Nancy Isime.
