Super Eagles have secured their spot in the final round of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers after topping their Group.
The players put up a relentless show at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos to clinch a 1-1 draw against Cape Verde, who were defeated 1-0 at home by the Eagles.

Going into the game, Eagles only needed a draw to secure the top spot in the group while Cape Verde needed a win to leapfrog their opponents and clinch a World Cup playoff place.
However, the first-minute opener by Victor Osimhen put Nigeria ahead before a sixth-minute equaliser levelled both sides level on draw as they both searched for a winner to no avail.
The Super Eagles will now participate in the 10-team playoffs in March 2022 with the hope of winning over their opponents on aggregate in a bid to become one of the five teams that will represent Africa in Qatar.
