Shola Agboola, a prominent Canadian Politician and member of the Conservative Party of Canada’s Leadership Election Organizing Committee (LEOC), recently spoke at the Black History Month (BHM) event organized by the Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, Pierre Poilievre.

The event took place at Stornoway. During the event, Agboola spoke about what Black people achieved and contributed to the socioeconomic and political development of Canada. He also talked about how the new generation of Black Canadians, including himself, have been drawn inspiration and motivation by the struggles, determination, and achievements of those before them.
He concluded that giants like Viola Desmond and Lincoln Alexander achieved what they achieved because they valued and appreciated a country that gave them hope and freedom. He said Black Canadians are also determined to make their contribution because Canada has allowed them to share in its prosperity and unlimited opportunities for them and their children.
He urged Conservative Party to do more to connect with the Black community and other ethnic minority groups across Canada as they are the only party that truly care about the success of immigrants.
