His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued a directive to the Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority (SEWA).
The directive aims to extend equal treatment to the children of female citizens, similar to the treatment provided to scholarship recipients, both male and female. Presently, there are 72 students benefiting from these scholarships.
The Ruler has also ordered the repayment of amounts previously collected from those who paid them.
The Amiri Diwan in Sharjah will oversee the process of returning these funds.
These directives were announced during the “Direct Line” program, broadcast on the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority (SBA).
