Quebec has instituted a new Immigration plan for health sector, technology sector, and food processing workers. The 3 programs are for a maximum of 5 years to retain the foreign nationals that want to immigrate to Canada and whose skills are in consonance with Quebec Market needs.
Under the new immigration plan, 550 Canadian immigrants will receive Quebec selection certificate by the Ministry of Immigration, Francization, and Integration (MIFI) every year.
To be eligible for this immigration plan, applicants must be at least 18 years old, have work experience in Quebec ans be paid for at least 30 hours per week
Immigration Program for Food processing workers
The program aims to concentrate on retaining food processing workers. The program will be implemented by the MIFI on March 24. Applicants must be fluent in French and possess work experience in an eligible occupation in Quebec.
Immigrant who wants to settle in Quebec under this program must possess a high school or professional studies diploma in Quebec. Also, the applicant should have a full-time job in Quebec for a minimum of 24 months in the eligible sector.
Immigration program for Orderlies worker
This program focuses on temporary workers that have worked for a minimum of 1 year in Quebec in the orderlies sector.
This Quebec Immigration Plan will be implemented on March 31.
Immigrants who want to settle in Quebec under this plan must be able to communicate in French and must have a job in Quebec in the orderlies sector.
Immigration program for Information technology, artificial intelligence, and visual effects workers
This program is designed for highly skilled tech workers who want their careers established in Quebec. The aim of this pilot program is to retain Canada Immigrants who hold a graduate degree from Quebec university and it will be launched on April 22.
