Petr Cech, Chelsea Football Club’s former goalkeeper, is set to embark on a new challenge this weekend as he will hit the ice rink to play for the Chelmsford Chieftains ice hockey team.
After a great football career, during which he won numerous trophies including four Premier League titles, five FA Cups, three League Cups, the Champions League and Europa League, Cech will look to add a National League Division One South cup medal to his collection.
Cech has talked about his love for ice hockey on many occasions and joined the Chieftains after he retired from football, having previously played for Guildford Phoenix.

The two-legged final against Invicta Dynamos will be played over the weekend, with the first leg played away and the second leg at home. Football and ice hockey fans will watch with anticipation to see how Cech will cope with his new challenge and whether he can add another trophy to his already impressive cabinet.
