Barcelona women recorded a 7-0 home victory over Levante Las Planas in the Spanish women’s league, with Nigeria’s Asisat Oshoala netting three goals.
The Barcelona women’s squad now have a football record of 50 straight league games, a record in football.

Rita Chikwelu, Oshoala’s Super Falcons teammate, played for Levante Las Planas who are occupying 11th position in the division.
Oshoala, the current African Women’s Player of the Year, scored Barcelona’s second goal in the 25th minute, fifth in the 56th minute and sixth goal in the 63rd minute.
She has scored 10 goals in 14 appearances this season in the Spanish women’s top division.
The team’s streak of 50 league victories started when Barcelona women won the final five games of the 2020–21 season.
The record was previously held by Olympique Lyon women’s team, a team that won 46 league matches on the bounce between December 2011 and January 2014.
