Nova Scotia has banned TikTok, a Chinese video-sharing platform, from all government-issued mobile devices.
The province announced the ban the app in a recent news release.
Nova Scotia becomes the second province to ban the video-sharing platform in Canada after Quebec.

The statement read: “On a mobile device, the TikTok application’s data collection methods provide substantial access to the contents of the phone, making those who have downloaded the application more vulnerable to surveillance.”
