The Nigerian Government has revealed that it is set to send a Nigerian citizen to space, 25 years after the country started space exploration.
This was announced by the Director General, National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), Dr Mathew Adepoju, during a press conference in Abuja.
Adepoju revealed that the federal government signed a Memorandum of Understanding in collaboration with NASRDA and the Space Exploration and Research Agency.
He said: “This collaboration, which is coming to the country, marks a significant milestone in Nigeria’s 25th anniversary of Space Exploration journey and opens new opportunities for scientific research and technological advancement.”
