A 25-year-old Nigerian woman, Beauty, who lives in Catanzaro, Italy has accused her employer of hitting her because she asked for her salary recently.
Beauty, a staff of beach club and restaurant in Soverato near Catanzaro, went to a police station in Soverato to report the incident. She backed her report with the video of the alleged aggression she filmed and submitted to the police.
According to InfoMigrants, Beauty’s lawyer, Filomena Pedullà, accompanied her to report the case at the police station. Her boss has been identified in the Italian press, as the owner of a beach club and restaurant.
Reports have it that he is the son of a retired Carabinieri police officer and does not have a record with the police.

According to Pedullà, Carabinieri police are investigating the potential charges of personal injuries, theft and threats after Beauty’s report and investigators are looking into payment slips.
Pedulla said: “Investigators are examining data regarding the contract and the verbal agreement between the two sides. The young woman received a bank transfer of €200 although an agreement had been reached for the payment of €600.”
Beauty’s lawyer said the aggression allegedly occurred after the Beauty protested because she had not been paid the agreed sum.
Pedulla also made it known that after the employer reacted to Beauty’s request for money, she “suffered a hand injury, proven by a bloody nail, contusions on a shoulder and an injury on her scalp.”
