The Publisher of The Nigerian Canadian Newspaper, Ngozi Ugoh has been nominated and selected as a recipient of the 2023 Mayors Making Black History Awards.
The exceptional Ugoh, who has been an ardent contributor to social change and community development is billed to receive “Social Impact Award”.

According to the organizers, she is being recognized as a Black volunteer who has demonstrated all-around community involvement, inspires unity and builds Brampton’s diverse mosaic.
The notification letter reads “I am writing to share with you that you were nominated and selected to receive this years 2023 Mayors Making Black History Awards under the category Social Impact Award: Recognizes a Black volunteer who has demonstrated all-around community involvement, inspires unity and builds Brampton’s diverse mosaic.
“We invite you to join us as we announce your award to the community on February 1st 2023, 6:00pm at Brampton city hall during our Black History Month Kickoff. Kindly confirm your attendance and number of guests you have joining you. If you could kindly also send a brief bio and headshot as soon as possible it would be much appreciated”.
The NCNC Boss has been a recipient of many awards of different categories, a clear indication of her immense contribution to nation-building.
