Twitter Owner, Elon Musk, has revealed he has hired a woman to take over from him as the new Chief Executive Officer.
While making the revelation, Musk tweeted: “Excited to announce that I’ve a new CEO for X/Twitter. She will be starting in ~6 weeks!
“My role will transition to being exec chair & CTO (chief technology officer), overseeing product, software & sysops.’
Musk, who is also the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX did not disclose the identity of his new CEO. Since buying Twitter for $44 billion, he has laid off around 70 percent of Twitter’s workforce, including its entire executive team.
Shortly after the revelation, Tesla’s shares increased by more than 2 percent, which is a sign that investors were pleased about the move.
