Mohbad’s mother disclosed some incriminating information about the events which led to her son’s sad death during a recent interview.
She said her son was targeted by a gang of persons, with over three actively scheming against him. She described the incident which led to Mohbad’s death as a communal action.
According to her, Mohbad made the courageous decision to sever ties with Naira Marley, his former boss, after he was urged to engage in an unlawful activity. Specifically, he was allegedly persuaded to take part in cocaine trafficking, which he refused.
She stated further that Mohbad’s refusal was responded to with death threats by Naira Marley and his cohorts.
Mohbad’s resistance eventually led to his premature death, as his assailants followed through on their threats and carried out their heinous intentions.
The grieving mother regretted the loss of her son and emphasized the significant impact of his premature death on her.
She expressed sorrow on not being able to partake in the joys of her son’s achievements and claimed that God will eventually judge the killers of her son.
Mohbad’s mother, who spoke in Yoruba, said:“More than 3 people planned evil for Mohbad. It was a team work. There was nobody to fight for me. My son decided to sever ties with his boss, Naira, when he was asked to be trafficking cocaine but he refused. He said he would never do such and they told him they would kill him by fire by force and they did. God will judge you all. The spirit of my son will fight. You took him away from me when it was time for me to start enjoying him.”
