Late singer Michael Jackson’s ex-wife, Lisa Marie-Presley has died at the age of 54 at a hospital in California following a cardiac arrest.
The singer-songwriter Lisa was the only child of the late Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” her mother Priscilla Presley confirmed in a statement to.
The statement added that “She was the most passionate strong, and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment”.
It could be recalled that in the 2000s, Lisa had her own albums available and performed live. On January 10, she was present for Austin Butler’s triumph for best actor in a drama for his role as her late father in Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis at the 2023 Golden Globes.

Reports have it that after Baz Luhrmann’s musical Elvis was released last year, Lisa Marie and Priscilla Presley began attending red-carpet occasions and award ceremonies with movie stars. Lisa Marie attended her father’s birth anniversary celebrations in Graceland, an American home where Elvis resided, and passed away, just days before she died unexpectedly. Elvis lost his life in August 1977, while Lisa was just nine.
Presley was previously married to Michael Lockwood, Nicolas Cage, Michael Jackson and Danny Keough.
Recall that in 2020, Presley’s son Benjamin Keough died by suicide at the age of 27. In addition to her late son, she was the mother of actress Riley Keough, Finley Aaron Love Lockwood and Harper Vivienne Ann Lockwood.
The Editorial Board of The Nigerian Canadian Newspaper sympathizes with her family over this irreparable loss.
