NATURE OF THE WORK Reporting to the Directorate, the chosen candidate will be a proven leader with a knowledge and skill base that will promote excellence within the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS The chosen candidate will have:
● Have a broad spectrum understanding of the LBPSB and how the Regional Director is key to the accomplishment of the mission of the Board;
● Have a graduate or post graduate degree in a relevant field;
● Have a minimum of 8 years experience in an administrative position;
● Have a valid Quebec Teaching Brevet;
● Have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in English and French;
● Have a thorough knowledge of both elementary, secondary schools and centres;
● Have a strong belief in and demonstrated the ability of collaborative teambuilding;
● Have demonstrated sound judgement, have demonstrated the ability to “think effectively on your feet”, and have demonstrated the ability to perform effectively under stress;
● Have the ability to set up processes by which confidential information is handled securely and with discretion;
● Have superior conflict resolution skills;
● Have solid understanding of the provincial and local collective agreements;
● Have sound knowledge of budgeting and accounting principles.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE
● To support and supervise school administrators with the goal of building their autonomy.
● To assist school administrators on a variety of matters such as pedagogical leadership, policy implementation, management of budgets student placement, as well as assignment and evaluation of school personnel
● To work in collaboration with other School Board Departments to ensure the efficient operations of elementary and secondary schools
To ensure that School Board policies and procedures are followed throughout the organization;
● To articulate strategic decisions, procedural orientations and procedures as agreed upon by the Management Team.
● To support other School Board Departments in the realization of their mandates.
● To participate in various level committees, both internal and external to the School Board, and coordinate special dossiers as assigned
● To assume responsibility for other dossiers as assigned by the Director-General or their delegate.
SALARY RANGE AND WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is classified as level 12 with remuneration and working conditions as per the Regulation Respecting the Conditions of Employment of Management Staff of School Boards. Salary range: $105,390 – $140,517
