Nigeria’s Labour Party has revealed that only Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Peter Obi can decide who would emerge as the presidential candidate between them.
While speaking to Vanguard, the party’s spokesperson, Yinusa Tanko confirmed merger talks are still ongoing between the presidential candidates.

Tanko said: “Discussions are ongoing. We have realized that none of us can do this alone.
“We have agreed on the basic principle that we are going to work together. The alliance is needed to rescue the country from the All Progressives Congress, APC, and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
“The question of who will be the presidential candidate or vice-presidential candidate will be decided by Mr Peter Obi and Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.”
