According to the Metropolitan Police, two people have been charged with conspiring to bring a child to the UK in a bid to harvest organs.
Nigeria’s Former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu and Beatrice Nwanneka Ekweremadu have been remanded in custody and will appear at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court today.

Sky News reported that charges were brought against the couple, who are Nigerians, after an investigation by the Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime team.
The child is now safe.
The force said the investigation commenced after detectives were alerted to potential offences under modern slavery legislation in May 2022.
