I look forward to hearing the Christmas Day messages of all these gentlemen waiting to see who will announce a programme that sounds like this, Ayo Akinfe

[1] My government plans to combat the rising spate of insecurity across the country

[2] My administration intends to reduce the ratio of government revenue that accrues from crude oil exports to 20% from the current 90% through an economic diversification programme

[3] My administration plans to add value to every single agricultural good we produce before exporting it

[4] My government will boost generated electricity from the current 7,000MW to at least 50,000MW, with an accompanying plan to transmit and distribute this power

[5] My administration will end the Apapa gridlock by dredging five more Atlantic seaports

[6] My government intends to boost Nigeria’s gross domestic product (GDP) from the current $375bn to $1trn within the next three years

[7] My government will end the subsidising of religious pilgrimages and invest that money in healthcare instead. Covid-19 has exposed how under-funded the sector is

[8] My government will link every single one of our 774 local government areas into one unified railway network

[9] My government will create at least 10m jobs in the clean energy sector by supporting solar farms, offshore wind farms and the manufacturing of equipment in the sector

[10] My government intends to increase the national literacy rate from the current 60% to about 90% within the next 10 years.
