Former lieutenant Governor of Ontario, David Onley, will be remembered at a state funeral on January 30.
According to Morley Bedford Funeral Services, David will be laid in state at the legislature on January 28 and January 29. A funeral will take place at a church in Toronto the following Monday.

The current lieutenant governor announced Onley’s death recently, saying he used his status as Ontario’s first lieutenant governor with a physical disability to create awareness of and help break down barriers confronting disabled residents.
Onley was appointed lieutenant governor in 2007 and served for seven years.
