The Femi Otedola Foundation has donated N5m to the family of Sodiq Olayode who welcomed quadruplets recently.
The donation came after an outpouring of support from Nigerians, who have generated over N19m for the family via online donations.
The story of the Olayodes gained attention on social media after a colleague Oyeniran James, posted the family’s struggles on X in July.
James narrated how Olayode lamented that the quadruplets used 105 diapers in six days.
This triggered a wave of generosity, with Nigerians donating millions to help the family.
The Femi Otedola Foundation, renowned for its philanthropic efforts, presented a cheque of N5m to the family.
The cheque was presented by Philip Akinola on behalf of the foundation.
Otedola also offered scholarships for the education of two of the children up to university level.
While sharing the news on X, James tweeted: “Guyssssssssssssssssss, Guess what ????
“#realFemiOtedola sent representatives to offer a cheque of N5m to the parents of the quadruplets and also he offered scholarship for the education of two of their kids till university. I’m in tears, guys.”
This donation followed Airtel Nigeria’s N2m to the family.
The Olayodes, who were expected a single child, were surprised by the arrival of quadruplets – two girls and two boys.
