The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal has consolidated the petitions of the candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP) against the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Independent National Electoral Commission. (INEC).
Justice Haruna Tsammani, the Chairman of the five-man panel of the court, presented the trial schedule and read the pre-hearing report, which included the declaration of the decision of the court to consolidate all the petitions to be heard as one.
Justice Tsammani announced that the hearing of the petition would start on May 30, 2023, and added that after the adoption of written addresses on August 5, 2023, the court shall prepare for judgement.
He made this revelation when the petition of the Labour Party and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi was called.
