Dr Olumuyiwa Igbalajobi, a Nigerian academic who lives in Canada has raised funds to help students acquire an international passport.
While talking to Legit.ng, the Doctor said he has been able to generate N1.3 million of the expected N3 million via donations.

According to him, the money will help 100 Nigerian students who wish to study abroad to pay for their international passports.
He said: “The goal is to support 100 candidates from low middle income countries. Looking at International passport for now in Nigeria, we can say 3 million target.
“We have been able to raise 1.1 million as of today.”
This is not the first time Dr Igbalajobi would be assisting students who wish to relocate and advance in their education. He intervened in the area of English language proficiency tests by writing letters to schools to waive the test for Nigerian students. This yielded result as waivers were granted by schools in USA and Canada.

By implication, these schools have recognized Nigeria as an English language-speaking country and has been removed from the English test list.
