The social media platform of former President of the United States, Donald Trump, Truth Social, has gone live and can be downloaded on Apple’s App Store. However, a lot of users have complained on Twitter that there is a huge waitlist to join the portal.

It should be recalled that Donald Trump announced last October that he planned to launch his own platform after he was ousted from Facebook, Twitter and YouTube in January 2021.
Users shared their experiences with the app on Twitter, with many of them noting that they were waitlisted on signing up owing to “massive demand”.
According to reports, Apple has begun sending notifications and alerts to users about the availability of the app for download.

Also, some users complained that they have been unable to set up an account after downloading the app.
It remains unclear whether the app’s freedom of expression goal can co-exist with the policies of Apple and Google app store.
