In a powerful display of faith and unity, the Youth of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), City of David Area, spearheaded by President Fred Promise, hosted a transformative two-day program titled ‘Back To Bethel’ on Saturday and Sunday at the Church auditorium.
The event was aimed at rekindling spiritual fervor among believers and recruiting new souls to God’s kingdom .
The program commenced on Saturday with an opening drill and prayer by the Provincial Youth President of RCCG FCT Province 3, Eyiwumi Taiwo Oladele.
In his ministration, the guest speaker of the day, Pastor Opeyemi Bamgboye Ezekiel, shared positive reverberating insight on the theme, ‘Back To Bethel.’ Pastor Ezekiel illuminated the significance of Bethel as a symbol of purity and holiness, drawing parallels to the biblical narrative of Esau and Jacob. He emphasized the immutable principle of sowing and reaping, urging attendees to lead lives characterized by holiness, akin to the sanctity of Bethel.
Day two, which unfolded on Sunday, saw an enthusiastic opening by President Fred Promise. The day was enriched with a series of inspiring presentations, notably a soul-stirring ministration by guest artist Minister Abraham Ziggi, whose performance deeply moved the congregation.
The highlight of Sunday’s session was a compelling sermon by Pastor Preye Okie, who recounted the divine instruction to Jacob to return to Bethel. Okie articulated that Bethel represents a sacred space of divine encounter, drawing on the experiences of patriarch Abraham to illustrate the transformative power of such encounters.
Concluding the event, Pastor John Tijani, the overseeing Pastor of City of David Area, extended heartfelt gratitude to all attendees, particularly those who traveled from afar, for their participation and commitment to the program.
Pastor Tijani lauded the collective effort that brought ‘Back To Bethel’ to fruition, celebrating it as a significant milestone in the church’s spiritual journey.
