Canada Women’s team have revealed that they would not embark on a strike in response to Canada Soccer’s threats of legal action.
Recall that Christine Sinclair, the captain of the team announced on Friday that the team would go on strike amid concern over funding reductions and a lack of pay fairness.

A joint statement recently released by the players said Canada Soccer had “told us they consider our job action to be an unlawful strike”.
Canada Soccer disclosed it respected the players’ right to organise but they “were not and are not in a legal strike position under Ontario labour law”.
Sinclair tweeted: “We are being forced back to work for the short term.
“This is not over. We will continue to fight for everything we deserve and we will win.”
