The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has given an order for the instant withdrawal of police officials attached to top businessman, Emeka Offor; former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, major companies and clerics and companies all over the country.
60 individuals, corporate and religious bodies like the Christ Embassy, Think Nigeria First Initiative, Uche Sylva International, Stanel Groups, KYC Holding and others were affected by the directive.
Meanwhile, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) have said that the directive was issued in the best interest of Nigeria and that their reliance has always been on God and not human for protection.
Other people affected by the directive include Sen Lado Yakubu, Yuguda Bashir, Uche Chukwu, Senator Borofice Ajayi, Mutiu Nicholas, Senator Tokunbo Afikuyomi, Edozie Madu, David Adesanya, Chris Giwa, Chief Godwin Ekpo and Chief Pius Akinyelure and others.
The directive was contained in a letter with reference number CB: 4001/IGP.SEC/ABJ/VOL.116/32 dated November 4, 2020 and addressed to Commissioners of Police, Police Mobile Force, Special Protection Unit and all Commissioners of Police in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory by the Inspector-General.
