Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, has teamed up with fans and lovers of Nigerian music in celebrating, Tems, who recently won the “Best Melodic Rap Performance” category at the Grammy Awards.
In a recent congratulatory message by his spokesman, Mr Femi Adesina, in Abuja, Buhari praised Tems, born Temilade Openiyi, for showing her music talent to the world, with dedication and hard work.

According to him, this has placed Nigeria in the spotlight for excellence.
The president extolled every Nigerian nominee for this year’s Grammy, including Burna Boy, for pursuing their passion with dedication and constantly reinventing global entertainment with creativity.
He appreciated the creative industry, especially, producers and directors, for helping talents like Tems, who put Nigeria’s culture and tourism on the global map.
