Brampton TikTok sensation, Megha Thakur has died. She died at the age of 21 and her death has left her numerous followers in shock.
A tribute from her family posted on her Instagram page read: “It is with heavy hearts we announce the light of our life, our kind, caring, and beautiful daughter, Megha Thakur, suddenly and unexpectedly passed away on November 24, 2022 in the early morning hours.”
The departed social media influencer and Western University student entered the limelight through TikTok and amassed over 928,000 followers while her message of self-empowerment, body positivity and self-confidence generated over 32 million likes.
She also had a tangible following on Instagram with over 101,000 followers and a podcast known as MeghaMind.
While talking to Western University Gazette in 2021, she said: “Who cares about what other people think of you, who cares about changing who you are to fit someone else’s idealization of who you should be. You should just be yourself and be attuned to what you want and what your values are.”
May her soul rest in peace.
