United States President Joe Biden has urged New York Governor, Andrew Cuomo, to resign, after an official report revealed Cuomo sexually harassed 11 women.
While talking to reporters at the White House, Biden said: “He should resign.”
When asked whether Cuomo should be removed from office if he does not resign, Biden said: “I understand the state legislature may decide to impeach, I do not know that for a fact.”
After the President’s response, New York State House Speaker, Carl Heastie, who is a Democrat, announced that the chamber would seek to conclude its impeachment inquiry into the governor.

The bombshell report which was released by New York Attorney General Letitia James’s office offered corroborated accounts of alleged harassment by Cuomo that included unwanted groping, kissing, hugging, and comments that are inappropriate, like claims from an Executive Assistant who reveals Cuomo reached under her blouse and grabbed her breast.
The Attorney General disclosed that Cuomo allegedly targeted 11 current and former employees of the state government.
James said the probe unveiled a “climate of fear” created by Cuomo’s alleged behaviour, which included unwanted kisses, groping, hugging, and making unacceptable remarks.
She revealed the investigation also discovered that the Democratic governor had retaliated against no fewer than one former employee for complaining about his actions.
During a news conference in Albany, Cuomo denied any wrongdoing and declared: “I never touched anyone inappropriately.”
“That is just not who I am, and that’s not who I have ever been.”
