Female housemate of the 2019 Big Brother Naija (BBN) reality TV show, Tacha Akide, has explained why she permanently relocated to the United Kingdom.
The BBNaija star gave the explanation when she appeared on the latest episode of Madame Joyce’s podcast. She said she has already conquered the Nigerian market and was looking to explore new territory.
Tacha Akide stated further that relocating to the United Kingdom does not mean she would not take up offers in Nigeria, especially if the deal is worthwhile.
She said: “With me being in the UK, I am representing Nigeria; I’ve already conquered the whole of the Nigerian market. Relocating to the UK doesn’t mean that I won’t take Naija deals. If the money is good, fine, why not?”
Besides revealing her goals in the UK and the difficulties of working in the Nigerian market, she gave an example of being underpaid for an influential event she participated in, pointing out that the act is common in Nigeria.
She said: “With the influencing scene in Naija, it looks so beautiful, but behind the scenes, it’s not as beautiful because the money is shit. Imagine someone wanting to pay you six million, which is about 3 thousand dollars for six months, and they want you to influence and post two videos a month. These videos need to be created o!”
