The remains of late iconic Nigerian comic actor, Babatunde Omidina, famously known as Baba Suwe, has been laid to rest
Baba Suwe died recently after a long battle with an undisclosed illness and was buried in his home in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
He was born on August 22, 1958, and he was married to comedienne Omoladun Omidina, who died in September 2009.
Baba Suwe was a force to be reckoned with in the Yoruba movie industry for many years and featured in a lot of movies. He bagged many awards.
The Executive Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has expressed unhappiness over the death of Baba Suwe, whom he said, “lived a fulfilled life”.
The Governor sympathized with Nollywood for losing “one of its outstanding practitioners in the industry”, and added that Baba Suwe was a talented actor, who deployed his God-given gift to advancing the course of mankind.
