Nigerians in diaspora and in the aviation industry pulled off another feat recently in the United States when Co-pilot Pius Odioko and Captain Oluwatoberu Thomas flew a flight that was historic. The duo happens to be the first all-Nigerian flight crew in the history of Frontier Airline.
Numerous airline passengers, officials of government and African-American community celebrated the unprecedented achievement after Thomas Oluwatoberu announced the amazing achievement.
Thomas Oluwatoberu graduated from San Francisco State University and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He has been with frontier Airlines for more than four years.
He has also worked with Republic Airways Holdings, Inc. and International Flight Training Academy where he taught Nippon Airways’ first officer pilot candidates.
Oluwatoberu was promoted to Captain at Frontier Airline on Airbus A320 Aircraft in 2019.
Frontier Airlines currently ranks eighth-largest commercial airline in the United States with its headquarters located in Denver, Colorado.
