The 10th Gateway International Trade Fair has commenced in Ogun State.
The Trade Fair tagged, “Transforming Agriculture and Commerce in a Highly Competitive Global Market”, drew local and International participants to exhibit variety of goods and services.
The Executive Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun was on ground to formally declare open the Ceremony.
The Executive Governor in His address noted that the trade fair was an avenue for produers, businessmen and women, managers of corporate organizations to share ideas, explore business innovations, strike credible business contacts and a great forum for adding value to Agricultural and Industrial products that are home-grown.
While talking further, he stated that, the 2021 Trade fair theme could not have been more accurate as it came at a time when the economy is diversifying from the oil sector to other sectors such as Agriculture, Trade and Manufacturing.
Other important personalities that were present at the opening ceremony include, the Ogun State Deputy Governor, Her Excellency, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele; Secretary to the Government of Ogun State, Mr Tokunbo Talabi and other members of Ogun State Executive Council; Alake of Egba land, represented by Chief Lai Labode; Iyalode of Yorubaland and the former National President of The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA),Chief Mrs Alaba Lawson; President, Ogun Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (OGUNCIMMA), Alhaji Wasiu Babatunde Olaniran; Chairman, Odua Chambers of Commerce, Prince Kayode Adeyemi; Members of OGUNCIMMA and NACCIMA; Permanent Secretaries; Ogun State Agricultural Team led by the Permanent Secretary, Dr Dotun Sorunke; Senior Special Assistants to Ogun State Governor on Agriculture; Traditional rulers; Civil servants; Small and Medium Entrepreneurs; Farmers and many others.
