The family of popular Canadian billionaire businessman, James K. Irving, has announced his death. He died at the age of 96 just over a month after his younger brother, Arthur, died.
James and his late brother John were sons of New Brunswick industrialist K.C. Irving and were among the richest people in Canada.
He was the chairman of the privately owned J.D. Irving, located in Saint John, N.B., a conglomerate with that covers manufacturing, infrastructure, shipbuilding and agriculture.
In 2024, Forbes Magazine stated that James Irving worth $5.9 billion, while Arthur Irving was reported to have been worth $6.3 billion, making him 10th richest person in Canada.
In a recent statement, the Irving family said James Irving died peacefully in Saint John.
The statement revealed further that he is survived by four children and funeral arrangements would be announced later.
