The dangers of diluted Christianity! – by Pastor Amos Dada PhD, P.Eng.

“Then the Lord said to him, “You Pharisees are so careful to clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside you are filthy—full of greed and wickedness! 40 Fools! Didn’t God make the inside as well as the outside? 41 So clean the inside by giving gifts to the poor, and you will be clean all over. Lk 11:39-41

A preacher like Jesus is so hard to find in our generation. Pastors today want to associate with politicians and people in authority and covet their blessing and goods and refuse to tell them the truth.

Can you imagine any Prime Minister or a President of a nation inviting a preacher to his office and the preacher preaching like Jesus preached in Lk 11:39-54.

Can you imagine the pastor, without mincing words saying:

Vs 40 ‘Ye fools’

Vs41: Woe unto you presidents/ prime ministers  and politicians for you do what you like, which is good but you fail to do what God wants you to do!

Vs43: Woe unto you presidents/ prime ministers, all you want is popularity and power not what you are called to do in office!

Vs 44: Woe unto you presidents/ prime ministers for you do not know your right from your left : you are just mere hypocrites . What you promise the electorate is not what you do in the office.

Can you imagine one of the invited members of the cabinet , who happens to read law, let us call him the Attorney General of the federation feeling uncomfortable the way the pastor is lambasting his bosses raising up his hands and saying:

Excuse me Pastor: ‘ to be honest I don’t like the way you are talking to my boss, because let us face it the way you are talking to them , you are indirectly talking to us also you are calling us fools, and hypocrites and pronouncing woe on us!’

Imagine the pastor continuing and not mellowing down his tone but raising it:

Vs 46: Woe unto you lawyers: you make life miserable for the citizens: you pervert justice:

You need to hear me out you are responsible for many that are in prison, many prophets that are dead, even from the time of Noah. Woe unto you lawyer : you have taken away the key of knowledge, you twist knowledge, you misinterpret knowledge and through your actions and inactions you do not allow those who want to serve God serve him in truth and holiness!

Verse 53-54 . They planned to kill him and it did not bother Jesus. He preferred to preach the undiluted word and face the consequences rather than to water it down!

May God help the preachers of today including the writer! Going forward. Pray for your Pastor to receive anointing for boldness. (Acts 4.) Many Pastors are not willing to tell even church members the truth of the gospel for fear of losing them to other churches or for fear of them starving the church of funds through their failure to pay tithe and offering .

Let us declare the total truth of the gospel in the marketplace, churches, palaces and prime ministers/ president offices . Help their souls not their egos or your pockets.

Shalom

O taste and see that the Lord is good.(Psalm 34:8). I have tasted and found that the Lord is good. I do testify that the Lord is good.Join me to taste him.
