The Canada Visa Application Centre has reopened to provide limited visa services. The centre reopened on Sunday, May 31, 2020.
According to a statement issued by VFS Global, a global visa outsourcing company that accommodates the Wafi Centre in Dubai, the visa centre will only complete outstanding visa applications.

The centre will not entertain new visa applications for now. The limited visa services being provided at present include acceptance of biometric collection from customers who already have prior appointment and biometric instruction letter (BIL). Also, the centre will also engage in return of passports and supporting documents via courier services.
In a bid to ensure a safe, productive work environment for its members of staff, while at the same time offer maximum protection for communities from the spread of COVID-19, the VFS Global has created standard protective measures that will be followed across the centre. This measures include sanitisation, wearing gloves, wearing face masks and practice of social distancing.
All customers will undergo body temperature checks at the centre’s entrance to check their health conditions. Any customer that exhibits the symptoms of COVID-19 will be denied entry to the centre and will be asked to come back when his/her health situation improves.
