FIFA sanctions Nigeria for fielding ineligible player

FIFA has stripped Nigeria of the one point they earned from their final 2018 World Cup qualifier  against Algeria in Constantine on November 10, after the world football body discovered that the Super Eagles fielded an ineligible player, Shehu Abdullahi. GE, Mainstream sign N8.3bn Kainji power plant rehabilitation contract

Mainstream Energy Solutions Limited has injected a fresh $26m (N8.3bn) investment into the Kainji Hydro Power Plant to rehabilitate its Hydro Turbine Generator unit. The agreement for the rehabilitation project was signed with General Electric in Abuja.
